The Zero Waste Conference attracts thought leaders from around the world highlighting Circular Economy success stories, waste prevention innovations, local and global perspectives as the shift to waste prevention and a circular economy continues to gain momentum.
Keynote Speakers
We’re thrilled to welcome five vibrant keynote speakers each representing a different critical aspect of the Circular Economy – academia, business, upcycling, public education and research.
Skylar Tibbits, Founder of the Self-Assembly Lab & Associate Professor of Design Research, Department of Architecture at MIT
Tibbits has a bold vision – a world where buildings, products and machines are capable of self-assembly, repair and replication, without robotic parts.
Harald Friedl, CEO, Circle Economy
Hailing from one of Europe’s leading think tanks, Friedl will detail the ‘Circularity Gap’ and how communities in Europe are closing that gap by adopting the Circular Economy.
Valerie Craig, Deputy to the Chief Scientist and Vice President of Operating Programs, National Geographic Society
Craig will highlight the global context of plastic waste, how we arrived at this point, and what needs to be done by governments, corporations and civil society to tackle the issue.
Arthur Huang, Founder and CEO, Miniwiz
Structural engineer, architect, and innovator Arthur Huang is the Founder and CEO of Miniwiz, which invents innovative recycling techniques and upcycled materials, architectural solutions and consumer goods.
Tom Szaky, Founder and CEO, TerraCycle
TerraCycle is already world renowned for recycling the unrecyclable. Now, Szaky’s latest zero-waste venture, Loop, which is challenging the way we buy, use, and recycle everyday products.
