Metro Vancouver’s 9th annual Zero Waste Conference amplified the call for the Circular Economy with in-depth discussions on business transformation, plastics, circular cities, and Canada’s future as a leader in an increasingly uncertain and resource-constrained global economy.
The conference, which focused on “A future without waste: mobilizing for success in the circular economy,†sets the stage for Canada’s hosting of the 2020 World Circular Economy Forum.
#ZWC19 keynote speakers included Valerie Craig, of the National Geographic Society, who spoke on the plastics crisis and the need for global thinking, and Arthur Huang and Tom Szaky, who inspired the audience with their innovative entrepreneurial approaches to waste prevention.
Video recordings of all the keynote presentations, panel discussion and Q&A sessions are now available. Â The photo gallery for #ZWC19 has also been updated.
