Innovation Showcase to Highlight Made-in-Canada Solutions
Plastic pollution. News about the state of marine environments has made the need for solutions even more urgent. Fortunately, great ideas are emerging from a number of sources, including science labs, start-ups, and policy groups. Recognizing the  power of innovation,  Canada’s National Zero Waste Council  and Think Beyond PlasticTM are collaborating on the Canadian Innovation Showcase, featuring Canadian solutions to reducing plastics pollution.
Innovative ideas consistent with the resource-efficient, lifecycle management approach to plastics described in the G7 Ocean Plastics Charter are candidates for the showcase, at any stage of development, from concept to market. The best submissions will be announced at the 2018 Zero Waste Conference, to held on Nov. 8-9 in Vancouver, BC. Showcase finalists will be invited to attend the conference; an invaluable chance to network with conference attendees and zero waste thought leaders from across Canada and around the world. If you or someone you know in Canada is working on solutions to plastic pollution, please tell them about this unique opportunity. The application portal closes on October 12, 2018, so submit your idea today!
